Today I worked on my thesis presentation for the whole class and snacked on some Tostitos. I was locked in the back room in the beginning of class, because I have such great friends. I am almost done with my powerpoint.  I now need to write some notecards and practice my presentation. I gave Correa envelopes for letters.

Today I worked on my Texas Tech application. I saved my essays and my application is ready to send!! I figured out that St Andrews is on the Common App so I started that today. I looked at sororities at Tech with Rachel.

For about 45ish minutes I helped put up a sign in the hallway that says "Welcome to the TAG Family." For the rest of thesis I researched and read about the beginning of dance. I started my powerpoint for my presentation and worked on it for the rest of class. I finally have a mentor. I asked my ballet teacher on Monday before class. Almost done with college stuff!!

At the beginning of thesis Caroline and I laminated and cut out letters for Correa. I have thought about changing my thesis to making my own pointe shoes and performing in them as my final project. From what I have researched today it is a bad idea. If I make them wrong, I can potentially harm my feet and break some bones. So maybe I won't change my thesis. I am going to do a little more research over the next few days and decide. I have my thesis presentation on December 15 so I need to start putting my presentation together. I have been doing a lot of research lately so I can easily finish my presentation this week, which is my goal. I bought a bunch of books which have been very helpful in looking up ballets and their origins. I am almost done with all of my applications. I have a few short essays to write and then I am done. My goal is to have everything sent in before the break and I think I can do it!!

ALL OF MY DECEMBER 1ST APPS ARE SENT! I sent UT last night and I am sending Wake Forest tonight. I spent thesis working on Wake Forest Supplements and Auburn short answers. I asked Villa for counselor recommendations at the beginning of class. I will have everything sent in before Christmas Break!! Now I need to start working on my thesis presentation for December 15!

Today I started off thesis making sure all of my Clemson paperwork is together so I can go put it in the mail on my way home from school. I mailed UT and SMU transcripts, recs, and all that good stuff over the weekend! Tonight I plan on sending my SMU, Clemson and Wake Forest Applications. I am almost done with my UT application. I need to finish revising one last essay and then I can send it off! I plan on sending it tomorrow after school. So exciting and stressful at the same time. I spent the remainder of thesis working on Topic A, I think it is done. I can't wait to be done. So close!!!! :)

For the first 45 minutes I cleaned my fish tank because Correa made me. I worked on an essay for SMU and sang some Kanye/Jay- Z songs.

Today I worked on Topic A for UT. This essay was easier to write because I started with an outline instead of just writing. I also got my grade report, Rachel played substitute and passed them out.

So I am almost done with all of my apps. I am currently working on essays, short answers and supplements. My goal is to have everything sent in either the end of thanksgiving break or the monday we come back at the latest. I want to have everything sent in so I can focus on thesis and not have to stress and rush my applications. Today I finished an essay! I started outlining Topic A and Topic B for UT and Texas Tech. It is easier for me to write an essay after I write an outline.

Today I added my extracurricular and volunteer activities to Apply Texas for UT and Tech. I looked into the courses Wake Forest offers for psychology. There are some really cool classes. Freshman are required to do some sort of research their first year, which is pretty cool! I didn't realize that Wake Forest is about $58,000.

Today was a very productive day. At lunch I asked teachers for recommendations for 4 schools. I was going to go talk to Mr. Villa but he is in Colorado. I requested transcripts for 5 schools and they will be ready in the morning. By tomorrow morning I will have all of my transcripts that I need to send to schools. I worked on my Wake Forest application and my SMU application and also wrote some of the short answers for UT. Over the weekend I worked on my St. Andrews app. All I have to do is attach an essay and I am done!! It feels so nice to finally feel like I am getting done with things. I have organized everything and made checklist of everything I need. Everything is color coated and has due dates!

This morning I started my St. Andrews application!! :) It is taking me longer to complete this application because it is not like the other applications I am doing. Because it is international there are different types of questions to fill out. I spent the entire class period working on the application. They have some really cool majors. I have listed Psychology and Art History- Psychology as two choices to major in. I am also considering Neuroscience as a possibility. I am so excited to apply! :)

Today I signed off that my name was spelled correctly for my diploma so that it is spelled right. I started an essay for UT which is also the same for Tech. The prompt is to write about a person who has impacted your life, I am planning on writing about my late ballet teacher Denise Brown. SO MANY ESSAYS! My plan is to have everything done by Thanksgiving break! Hopefully I can get it all done!! :)

Happy Billy Beer Day!! oh and Happy Halloween!

I have been editing and revising the same essay for a while and I am finally pretty happy with it. I have pretty much all of my applications filled out I now just have to write essays, short answers and supplements.

I spent about 15 minutes organizing all of my college stuff on my laptop and then transferred it all to my flash drive.It is so nice to be organized. Then the dreaded spiral wheel of death popped up and I had to restart my laptop. Waste of 5 minutes.

The rest of class I worked on my short answer for Wake Forest. I am writing about ballet. I somehow have to write a maximum of 1000 characters on the thing that I love and spend most of my time on. I have to cut about 600 characters.

First post in a few weeks. I have been watching thesis presentations during class for a the past few weeks and we are finally done! Just emailed Correa my topic/ description of my thesis. I have my official transcripts for SMU, Auburn and Clemson . Now I need to send them. Working on Auburn, SMU and Clemson applications.

I payed for my cap and gown. I am presenting my initial thesis on September 30. I am reading through all of Correa's Thesis instructions. I started writing my presentation speech and I am almost done. It just needs some editing and practice. I feel like I am very prepared for my presentation.

I am still editing my SMU essay and I think I am completely done now.  I am applying early action, so this needs to be done like now. It will be such a relief to send this in. This past saturday I toured SMU. The campus is beautiful and I love being on the campus and being on the boulevard before football games.

I have finished my SMU essay and I am currently editing it. I am also researching for my thesis. So much history and information in ballet it is unbelievable. There are many influential dancers, composers and choreographers that I will need to research. Still filling the common app. So much fun!!

Today I signed up for a visit to the Dedman School Humanities & Sciences at Southern Methodist University. I just added some info to my resume, don't know why it wasn't there before. I am researching The Russian Ballet. It is so interesting. It was established in 1909 by Diaghilev and featured some of the most influential dancers of the time: Anna Pavlova, Nijinsky and Balanchine. I am beginning to think that the history of ballet would be a better thesis for me instead of doing an in depth analysis of the techniques. I have a short amount of time to figure it out and make a decision. I looked into the School of Psychology at St. Andrew's, and programs at Clemson and Auburn. Clemson and Auburn are basically the same cost. Now I need to start looking for scholarships. 

Ballet Fun Fact: In 1870, Giuseppina Bozzacchi was just 16 years old when she performed the principal role of Swanhilde in Coppelia. Unfortunately, she died just a year later on her 17th birthday after she contracted small pox.

Researching for my thesis. There are so many elements of ballet and styles. This is going to take a while. I am trying to figure out how I am going to present. Demonstration possibly? Not sure. I am thinking about possibly changing my thesis to the history of ballet. I need to do a little more research first. There are so many ballets and companies. I have a lot of research ahead of me. I have decided to definitely to apply to St. Andrew's University in Scotland. Why not? :)

I am currently researching for my thesis. I think I have an idea of who I would like to be my mentor. There are so many things to think about and do. I have finally finished the survey and my resume and I will email both to Correa and Villa tonight. I am considering two more schools to apply to, St. Andrew's University in Scotland and University of Hawaii. I'm still not sure if I am going to apply to either but I would love to be in Scotland. :)
