Today I read some books for my thesis. I read about Pas de Quatre and a brief history of ballet. I looked at housing at Auburn and checked what number I am on the waiting list.

Happy Valentine's Day! Today I started writing the preface for my book. I also added on to my history timeline. In my preface I am going to talk about my project, why I chose it, and what I did.

I started writing my history timeline today. I have gone all the way back to the beginning and started with October 15, 1580 with the first ballet, Ballet Comique de la Reine. I made it all the way up to 1730 on my timeline today with Marie Camargo being shortening the original ballet dress in order for the audience to see the steps that the dancers are doing.

I STARTED MY BOOK TODAY!!! YAY!
Before school started today I was reading a book my mentor gave me and had an idea of how to make my book. I am reading a book by George Balanchine and George Mason. I am splitting my book up into 6 parts.

Part 1- Brief History of Ballet

Part 2- Major Ballets

Part 3- Important Dancers/ Principals

Part 4- Pictures/ Illustrations

Part 5- Glossary

Part 6- Index

I found a website to make the books and it will cost me about $30 per book for the type of book and the amount of pages i will write. Now I need to start writing.
